The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that jurors deliberated for about 2½ hours Monday before convicting 24-year-old William Greene of second-degree murder in the August 2014 shooting death of 20-year-old Alexis Guevara outside the Dell Music Center in the city’s Fairmount Park.
A friend of the victim testified last week that Guevara was arguing with another man outside the “Philly Support Philly Peace on the Streets” hip hop concert when Greene walked up, tried to rob him and then shot him.
Greene was also convicted of robbery and three gun charges. He declined to speak before sentencing.
