Donny Most Still Got It
From starring on “Happy Days” as Ralph Malph to embracing his love of swing, jazz and big band music, Donny Most has been making fans smile for decades. The actor/singer/director is playing a handful of shows in May in support of his new album, Mostly Swinging.
Released in February, the album includes Most’s take on classics such as “Let’s Fall in Love,” “C’est Si Bon,” “I Got It Bad and That Ain’t Good” and “One for My Baby.”
Fans of the genre are guaranteed a delightful evening when Most comes to town.
A June 2016 review from Theater Pizzazz declares, “Even more surprising than his shift to the stage, Most’s best kept secret is this: the man has pipes. His renditions of ‘Blue Skies’ (Irving Berlin, 1926) and ‘I’ve Got You Under My Skin’ (Cole Porter, 1936) fill the entire room with a classic Big Band tone as warm as his demeanor. He holds out the money notes with ease and moves like a man half his age.”
In a blog for Huffington Post Pat Gallagher raves, “What a (singing) voice!! What energy! Who knew? (Move over Michael Buble.)”
