Minion Park has been built on 8,400 square meters of land at a cost of 10 billion yen ($92 million). It features a street show and a ride called Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, as well as a mechandise and food sales area.

At the opening ceremony for the park on April 19, a famous Japanese comedian told guests that Minion Park is “the only place where one can enjoy the world of the Minions,” according to a report by Kyodo News Service.

About 1,500 people were invited to attend the ceremony.
