UFO And Saxon Orbit North America
Last time was so nice, they had to do it twice! UFO and Saxon are taking on more co-headline dates together in the U.S. and Canada this fall, with special guest Jared James Nichols coming along.
The recently concluded March-April run was apparently a good time, as the new shows are being attributed to high demand. The first new date is Sept. 22 in Newton, N.J. and continues until Oct. 14 in Indianapolis.
“Seldom do you get the chance to have a tour with such great bands and great personalities,” UFO frontman Phil Mogg said in a statement. “We have have been offered such a chance and will be grabbing it with both hands. … I hope you enjoy these gigs as much as we will, rocking/kicking your proverbial arse/bottom.”
Tickets to some shows are on sale now and most dates will be on sale by May 12.
UFO is promoting its last LP, 2015’s A Conspiracy of Stars. Prior to the tour the band is scheduled to play Dudingen, Switzerland’s Kilbi Festival and the U.K.’s Ramblin’ Man Fair.
Saxon is pushing the Battering Ram album and a new live DVD, titled “Let Me Feel Your Power.” That band is in Europe for the summer, with festivals like Sweden Rock, Hellfest, Rock Fest Barcelona, Ramblin’ Man and Bang Your Head!!! all on the menu.
