Vince Gill, Deacon Frey Fly With Eagles

It’s official: The Classic West and Classic East events in Los Angeles and New York will feature Vince Gill and Deacon Frey, son of Eagles founder Glenn Frey, onstage with Eagles. Just remember, you heard it here first!

We heard early rumblings that the festival was being planned, and that Eagles would fly again if Deacon Frey would join to take the place of his late father, or if an “established country artist” like Gill would join the ticket. Turns out, it was both of those possibilities, though we are still not totally sure what the performance will look like.

In case you forgot, Classic West is July 15-16 at Dodger Stadium and Classic West is July 29-30 at Citi Field in New York. Both shindigs feature Eagles and their recently announced friends, Fleetwood Mac, Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers, Journey and Citi Field.

Single-day and two-day tickets for Classic East and Classic West are on sale for $99 a pop, starting June 5 at a.m. local time. VIP tickets and reserved seat packages are on sale now.
