CAA Provides Refugee Scholarships

As part of the agency’s Take Action: Refugees program,

The scholarships will assist refugees already in the U.S., the U.K. and Germany.

In addition to offering volunteer training programs to educate their employees on refugee issues, CAA will host job-focused and educational workshops designed to help refugees rebuild their lives.

Dave Isay, 2015 TED Prize winner and founder of Story Corps, will help conduct refugee interviews about their lives. The interviews will be stored in the Story Corps Archive at the American Folk Life Center at the Library of Congress.

The event is timed to coincide with World Refugee Day June 20.

The Take Action: Refugees program is a collaboration between CAA, the International Rescue Committee, Iraqi Mutual Aid Society, World Relief Jacksonville, the Nashville International Center of Empowerment and the Refugee Council.
