Bill Dana Dies

Comedian Bill Dana, best known for his Jose Jimenez character, died in Nashville June 16.

Dana wrote jokes for Don Adams and Steve Allen early in his career.

His portrayal of the Jose Jimenez character on “The Steve Allen Show” eventually led him to star in his own sitcom, “The Bill Dana Show.”
