Lindsay Ell Dropped
Sacramento Calif. radio station KNCI (105.1 FM) canceled Lindsay Ell’s performance at a listener appreciation event because of her relationship with iHeartRadio personality Bobby Bones.
The country singer was scheduled to perform at Brad Paisley’s Weekend Warrior World Tour June 17. She shared the news of her show’s cancellation on social media.
“Had a scheduled performance in Sacramento today for listeners. The radio station has asked me not to come bc of my personal life. Sorry guys,” Ell tweeted.
In response to KNCI, Sacramento’s iHeart station 92.5 The Bull announced they were going to give Ell the keys to the station and play her new single, “Waiting on You,” every hour until midnight. They also declared June 17 Lindsay Ell Day.
KNCI apologized on Twitter.
“Lindsay is an amazingly talented, up-and-coming artist and today we regrettably made a bad decision to cancel her show,” the tweet said. “We only hope that she – and our listeners – will forgive us, and that Lindsay and her team will allow us to reschedule the show.”
