Police Catch Kidnapping Suspect At Iron Maiden Show

You’ve probably heard that you shouldn’t post about your upcoming vacation on social media, just in case would-be robbers are looking for houses to hit up. An Iron Maiden fan learned over the weekend that if there’s a warrant out for your arrest, you shouldn’t let your friend post a photo of your concert tickets on Facebook.

Derrick Roseland was arrested June 24 at Iron Maiden’s June 24 concert at AT&T Center in San Antonio on a warrant for aggravated kidnapping.

Thanks to a photo of the tickets, which included the section, row and seat location, deputies knew the exact spot to find Roseland.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office released a statement on Facebook (naturally) explaining that Austin police department detectives came across the photo of the concert tickets and shared it with B.C.S.O. Intelligence. Roseland was arrested without incident.

Roseland is accused of forcing a victim to drive him to Jack in the Box – with the threat that he had a gun – after ditching a stolen car along the 6000 block of Belfast Drive in Austin, while police were trying to apprehend him on June 12, according to KVUE.
