Thrasher got involved in the live music industry in the 1970s, working with Emerson, Lake and Palmer on its “Works” tour.

He embarked on his first world tour when he was asked to build a stage for Bruce Springsteen in 1980. The tour launched Thrasher’s career.

In 1984, he was hired to be a carpenter on Billy Joel’s “Innocent Man” tour. By its conclusion, Thrasher had become production manager. He also handled set construction and production management duties on Springsteen’s “Born in the USA” tour later that same year.

Thrasher went on to work with numerous artists, including John Mellencamp, Mariah Carey, Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band, Faith Hill, Britney Spears, Maroon 5 and Paul Simon.

He will receive the Parnelli lifetime achievement award at the gala awards Jan. 26, 2018, in Los Angeles. For more information visit www.parnelliawards.com
