It’s Ringo’s Day

Everyone’s favorite former Beatles drummer, Ringo Starr, celebrates his 77th birthday at Capitol Records headquarters today with a noon “Peace & Love Salute,” with satellite salutes happening worldwide.

In the birthday announcement, Ringo also revealed details of Give More Love, his 19th studio album. It drops Sept. 15 with collaborations from artists including Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Edgar Winter, Steve Lukather, Peter Frampton, Dave Stewart, and others.

Ringo is hitting the road with his All Starr Band in October, with markets and venues including eight dates at

The touring band is the same that he has toured with since 2012: Lukather, Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rolie, Richard Page, Warren Ham and Gregg Bissonette.
