VenuesNow Conference Announced

The inaugural VenuesNow Conference has been announced for July 12-14 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles with participants like Irving Azoff, Coran Capshaw, Doc McGhee and Louis Messina on the lineup. The gathering is produced by Oak View Group.

The conference is expected to focus especially on technological advances for venues, sports and entertainment, such as streaming, virtual reality, esports and new tech in security, ticketing, concessions and venue operations.  For that purpose, the conference has lined up speakers like PhoenixP2P’s Jed Corenthal, Neulion’s Chris Wagner and NextVR’s Brad Allen.

As for the heavy-hitters list, along with Azoff, Capshaw, McGhee and Messina, there is Metallica agent Adam Kornfeld, WME Nashville co-chief Rob Beckham, Live Nation Global Touring’s Gerry Barad, and Live Nation Co-President of North American Concerts Bob Roux.

The ticketing world is represented by Ticketmaster’s Jared Smith, StubHub’s Scott Cutler and Ticketfly’s Andrew Dreskin.

The safety and security aspect will include CNN analyst and former CIA official Phil Mudd along with counter-terrorism experts Michael Downing and Bill Bratton, along with NFL security chief Cathy Lanier.

VenuesNow has also confirmed, for branding/sponsorship, Justin Toman of Pepsi, Joe Belliotti of Coca-Cola, MAC Presents’ Marcie Allen and a host of others.
