The venue canceled Francisco’s July 16 show “due to illness,” it said in a tweet. Guests who attended the July 15 performance received free passes to future shows of their choice, according to the venue’s Facebook.
A video posted to YouTube shows Francisco going on a profane rant and shouting at audience members. He was reportedly barefoot and sweating profusely.
Witnesses speculated the bizarre behavior was a result of drug use.“He just kept repeating himself. Dude was on one that’s for sure,” one guest tweeted.
Francisco, who previously appeared on “MadTV” and “Comedy Central Presents,” apologized via Twitter the day after he was hospitalized.
“Again guys I’m really sorry for last night. Apologize to all my fans. I’m going to rest up, heal up, and be back better than ever. Peace,” he tweeted.
The comedian’s July 21-22 performance in Pasadena will be rescheduled.
Francisco’s representatives did not comment at press time.
