Ricky Skaggs Returns To His Roots
Ricky Skaggs is putting his country boots back on for a Nashville gig following 20 years of exclusively playing bluegrass.

Skaggs has been dedicated to exclusively playing bluegrass since the death of Bill Monroe in 1996. He promised Monroe to keep bluegrass alive, and has stayed true to his word. But now Skaggs feels it’s time to dust off the old hits.
“After playing bluegrass music for the last 20 years, I’m gonna have a blast plugging in my electric guitar and singing my country hits again,” Skaggs said in a statement. “Can’t wait! We did a test run of the show back in June and came away from it feeling great!”
Tickets are on sale now and range from $20-$200.
Skaggs is currently on tour.
