Three Sentenced In Walnut Creek Shed Robbery

Three of those arrested two years ago in the theft of $487,000 from the box office of Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek in Raleigh, N.C., were sentenced in the case August 3.

Jamell Cha Melvin was sentenced to a minimum of 20 years in prison, Javeal Aaron Baker was given 17-24 years in prison and Kianna Lynn Baker faces eight months in prison with three months’ probation, according to WRAL-TV.           

The trio was convicted of 12 various counts connected to the July 2015 robbery. Another suspect, Ajani Bryant, still awaits trial.

Authorities said about $89,000 has been located but the balance of the cash is still unaccounted for.
