LN Seeks Dismissal Over Stage Collapse Suit
Live Nation and engineer Domenic Cugliari are trying to get the suit regarding a 2012 stage collapse in Toronto that killed a drum tech and injured three other workers dismissed because of unreasonable delays.

“We’ll have reached the point where any complexity (in the case) cannot possibly justify the delay,” Live Nation lawyer Jack Siegel was quoted as saying by the CBC.
Charges were filed against LN Canada, LN Ontario, Cugliari and Optex Staging by Canada’s Ministry of Labor in 2013 but the case was ruled a mistrial in June of this year after the responsible judge Shaun Nakatsuru was appointed to the Ontario Supreme Court.
If the trial isn’t dismissed because of unreasonable delay, it will begin Sept. 5 and is expected to run until May 2018.
