Scorpions Cancel North American Tour

Scorpions have canceled the remainder of its U.S. tour with Megadeth because of singer Klaus Meine’s “severe laryngitis,” according to a statement.

The band had four dates left on the books: Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio on Wednesday, Oct. 11; Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas, Thursday, Oct. 12; BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla., on Saturday Oct. 14, and Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla., Oct. 15.

“We truly hate to disappoint our fans and hope to come back to America soon, but this time we have no choice but to cancel,” the band said in a statement.

Tickets can be refunded at point of purchase.

The next date on the books is Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland, Nov. 27.
