‘Weird Al’ Yankovic Gets Intimate

Yankovic plans to go back to basics for this one, ditching his usual costumes and props, and exclusively playing in “intimate theatres and settings” instead of arenas. With 14 albums worth of material, the comedian will deliver a different set each night and focus on his more obscure tracks.

“After 35 years of big productions, I just wanted to take it down a few notches and have a little musical pallet cleanser. This show will be loose, unpredictable, and maybe a bit sloppy – we’ll be making it up as we go along,” Yankovic said in a statement.

Tickets go on sale Oct. 20. 

Pollstar has Yankovic averaging almost 2,000 tickets sold per show, with a typical gross above $66,000.
