Bon Iver manager Kyle Frenette, co-founder of Middle West Management, is running for congress in Wisconsin’s 7th District.

Pollstar learned of this when reaching out to Frenette for another story and received an auto-response email that declared: “I am currently out of the office because I am running for office!

“I’m running for Congress in WI-07, because this state and this country are in desperate need of better leadership. I haven’t officially announced yet but will be in the next two weeks.”

Frenette officially submitted his candidacy to run as a Democrat to the Federal Elections Commission, USA Today Network-Wisconsin reported.

The manager has increasingly been posting political-themed content onto his social media pages, so those following those pages might not be surprised by the news of his endeavor.

Frenette has been working with Bon Iver for more than a decade. His colleagues at Middle West Management are handling his work in his stead. The company also counts Aero Flynn, Dem Yuut, S. Carey, The Shouting Matches and Volcano Choir among its clients.
