Marilyn Manson’s recent meltdown during a concert at The Paramount in Huntington, N.Y., where he ended the show abruptly, prompted “House” actor Charlyne Yi to tweet about Manson’s alleged sexual harassment of her and others.
After video of the abbreviated performance was posted online, Yi tweeted that she hoped the performer gets some help but added, “Don’t even get me started on Marilyn Manson,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.
“Yes, this happened a long time ago – on the last season of ‘House’ he came on set to visit because he was a huge fan of the show and he harassed just about every woman, asking us if we were going to scissor, rhino and called me a China man.
“It’s so triggering to see people come up on the internet who have harassed you. And then when you talk about the incidents, you become known as the person tied to the harasser. And that’s just your name from now on. It almost overrides who you are.”
Yi’s Twitter account is no longer active.
Fan video from the concert posted online showed the shock rocker saying a partially mumbled, partially sung monologue asking the audience to say “I love you” as his band played a lengthy blues jam. After acting strangely for more than an hour, Mason reportedly ended the show by walking off, sparking anger among the audience, which chanted “Fuck you, Manson.”
Manson reportedly regrouped and put on an “amazing” show the next night in Sayreville, N.J., according to Blabbermouth.net.
Manson’s “Heaven Upside Down Tour” hasn’t gone smoothly with Manson breaking his right leg in a stage accident in October, leading to postponement of nine tour dates. He also fired longtime bassist Twiggy Ramirez in October, after Ramirez was accused of sexual assault.
The tour resumes May 5 in Mexico City.
