Hulu Nabs Naming Rights To The Theater At Madison Square Garden

The Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden will, in addition to new signage inside and outside the 5,600-capacity venue, will include digital branding assets, sweepstakes and promotional rights and ticket pre-sales to select events. Hulu content will be available in the venue lobby, as well as targeted activations around specific events, according to a joint statement from Hulu and Madison Square Garden Co., which is affiliated with Pollstar parent company Oak View Group.
“The Theater at Madison Square Garden has played a central role in the history of the Madison Square Garden Arena complex, with its own rich tapestry of cherished events,” said Darren Pfeffer, executive vice president, MSG Live. “We are thrilled to have such an acclaimed partner in Hulu, which is also known for its commitment to celebrating the very best in entertainment.”
Hulu, which streams hundreds of channels of TV, sports and original content, has more than 17 million subscribers and now has a marquee location in New York City that can provide MSG an additional platform for presentations, exclusive events and other content.

The price tag on the marketing deal was not announced.
