Outlaw Music Festival Tour Adds Van Morrison And Tedeschi Trucks Band

The Outlaw Music Festival unveils its second leg, adding Van Morrison and Tedeschi Trucks Band to select dates, and Neil Young performing on one show.

The first leg of the tour kicking off May 25 in Raleigh, N.C., is hardly short of star power.  Announced in March, the tour’s first collection of dates boasts Willie Nelson & Family, Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Alison Krauss, Sturgill Simpson, and Edie Brickell& New Bohemians among the high-caliber acts on all or select dates.

The new leg also includes Neil Young performing with Promise Of The Real Sept. 23 at Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Today’s Outlaw Music Festival began as a one-day event in 2016 and featured featuring Nelson, Young with Promise Of The Real, Sheryl Crow, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Lee Ann Womack, and Cabinet.  The day-long fest turned into a tour in 2017.

Boxoffice results for the 2016 Outlaw Music Festival tour varied per location and lineup.  The Sept. 10 Hershey, Pa., gig at Hershey Stadium that included performances by Nelson, Van Morrison, Avett Brothers, Sheryl Crow and others sold 20,387 tickets and grossed $1,091,770.  The Sept. 8 show in Holmdel, N.J., at PNC Bank Arts Center that didn’t include Van Morrison sold 3,846 tickets and grossed $169,757.

Citi is the official presale credit card for the tour and will launch its advance ticketing offering today (April 3) at 10 a.m.  that runs April 5 at 10 p.m.  General onsales begin April 6 at 12 p.m. All times local.
