After selling out in its first year, Live Nation is expanding its 2018 Festival Passport by doubling the number of passes granting passholders access to more than 100 music festivals.
Passport holders will have access to music festivals around the world, including Chicago’s Lollapalooza, Las Vegas’ Electric Daisy Carnival, New York City’s Governors Ball, Australia’s Sydney City Limits, Poland’s Impact Festival, Download Festival in the U.K., Paris and Australia and many, many others.
As last year’s passports sold out within 24 hours, the number of purchasable passes this year doubled to 2,500. Live Nation is also introducing its VIP Festival Passport, granting VIP entry to 100 passport purchasers. The general admission Passports are priced at $999, while the VIP Passports are $5,000.
Live Nation is utilizing Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program to ensure that all passports get into the hands of actual fans. Registration opens April 9 and ends April 12 at 8 p.m. PDT.
“Music festivals are all about the experience and we created Festival Passport as an innovative way to amplify that for music fans across all of our 100+ festivals worldwide,” Lisa Licht, CMO, Live Nation U.S. Concerts, said in a statement.
“Festival Passport is Live Nation’s tribute to our incredible festival community, and we’re excited to continue to build on the program this year by increasing the number of Festival Passports available and adding a brand-new VIP tier. Those who purchased the Festival Passport last year have become part of the Live Nation family. Their passion for Live Nation and our festivals is awesome!”
