Presented by Live Nation Urban and TCG Entertainment, the September-October tour is the first and only official Estate-approved symphonic Prince tour.  The inaugural run of “4U: A Symphonic Celebration of Prince” begins in New Brunswick, N.J., Sept. 6.

Along with the music of Prince being re-interpreted through the wondrous capabilities of a symphonic orchestra, each show will feature a live band made up of world-class musicians and vocalists.

Adding yet another layer of Purple on the undertaking is Questlove, with The Roots’ leader curating the music and orchestral arrangements.

And the folks at Live Nation Urban, TCG Entertainment and The Prince Estate are very excited about the tour.

“We’re looking forward to working with Live Nation Urban and TCG Entertainment on this production and giving fans a unique experience,” said Troy Carter of The Prince Estate in a statement.

“It’s such a blessing to be able to pay homage to and celebrate the music of a creative genius like Prince,” Live Nation Urban president Shawn Gee said.  “One of the goals of Live Nation Urban is to create unique live platforms and to redefine what the norms of the live experience are.  We are beyond excited to be working alongside the Estate in creating what we hope to be a long standing artistic celebration of an artist who inspired so many.”

“TCG Entertainment is honored to be working with The Prince Estate and Live Nation Urban to create 4U: A Symphonic Celebration Of Prince,” TCG Entertainment president Stephen Cook said.  “4U will entertain audiences globally and we are humbled to work on a show based on Prince and his music given how important he is to people around the world.”
