SeatGeek and Snap Inc., announced a partnership June 7 that will see the ticketing platform integrated into the popular app Snapchat.

The integration will allow Snapchat users to swipe up in some stories, select tickets, and check-out all within the app. Snapchat began testing these capabilities in February and already posted a number of tickets for an Major League Soccer game between Los Angeles Football Club and D.C. United.

“Selling tickets through Snapchat is a massive opportunity to reach fans in a new way,” Dallas Cowboys VP of Ticket Sales Doug Dawson said in a statement. The Cowboys-owned Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, will utilize the integration for an upcoming boxing match featuring Errol Spence Jr. “This is a really exciting example of SeatGeek’s open distribution approach to ticketing, and we’re looking forward to working with performers that come through our venues to put tickets in front of their Snapchat followers.”

This is just another initiative of the upstart ticketer SeatGeek, who has the rights to ticket events for sports teams like the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, the New Orleans Pelicans, venues like AT&T Stadium and Banc of California Stadium, and is an official ticketing partner of the MLS.

The company continues to emerge in the primary ticketing market as a challenger to Ticketmaster, particularly for sporting events, though the company still describes itself as “a ticket platform that searches hundreds of other sales sites for you and brings ticket sellers together right here in one place”, or basically a resale site.

Snapchat has also announced it is teaming up with a variety of companies like Pandora and Eventbrite for its new Snap Kit platform for developers.

For Pandora, this means that the communication app’s users can share whatever song they are listening to a group of friends or through their story, and make listening on Pandora just a swipe away.

“This will be a powerful and comprehensive social integration with music,” Chris Phillips, Chief Product Officer of Pandora, said in a statement. “The Snapchat product experience and user base are primed for sharing, and our collaboration will provide a creative and compelling way to discover and enjoy music in a way that’s intuitive to Snapchatters.”

Independent ticketing giant Eventbrite, BandsInTown, Giphy, Patreon and Tinder are also listed as Snap Kit partners on Snapchat’s website.

The Eventbrite integration will allow attendees to share to Snapchat from the Eventbrite app, including a link to the show and a custom sticker in the Snap.
