Bandsintown Partners With Japanese Ticketing Company Lawson Ticket & France’s NRJ Global



Bandsintown is expanding globally by teaming up with leading Japanese ticketing companyLawson Ticket  as it continues its mission of connecting artists and fans. The concert discovery platform has also set its eyes on growing its base in France by partnering with music TV / radio network and concert partner NRJ Global.

“Fans in over 200 countries around the world, trust Bandsintown to discover concerts and new artists,” Bandsintown managing partner Fabrice Sergent said in a statement. “With 65 percent of our users in North America, we see huge potential in partnering with these local media players in key live music markets like France and Japan, and together we look forward to promoting local concert discovery on a global scale.
Today’s announcement touts the partnership in Japan as a win for both artists and fans, thanks to localized version of the Bandsintown Concert App making it easier for fans to discover more artists domestically and internationally, as well as Bandsintown localizing its artists tools to help musicians connect with fans. 
Bandsintown points out that the live music market is booming in the country, with 30,000 annual events totaling $3 billion. Ticket sales have tripled since 2007 when the industry had just 15,000 annual live events in Japan. 
The company’s partnership with NRJ Global will bring Bandsintown’s marketing solutions and reach to French brands, media agencies and concert promoters. Bandsintown and NRJ Global are also expected to collaborate on joint opportunities including live music events, editorial and new artist promotion. 
Bandsintown is already well established in France with a base of 1.1 million users in the country and 20,000 artists who use the company’s services, along with partnerships with Ticketmaster France, Fnac and Digitick.
