The No Sleep stage has developed into a festival in its own right
The organizers behind Exit Festival are launching a new electronic music festival called No Sleep Festival in the Serbian capital Belgrade, Nov. 16-18.
No Sleep has been the name of a stage dedicated to techno lovers at Exit Festival for the past four years, and has evolved into a festival in its own right. The premiere will be spread across a full weekend, featuring a 48-hour non-stop program at multiple locations in Belgrade, including the central warehouse, known as the New Hangar right on the Danube river, which will serve as the main stage.
Artist are going to perform at the city’s well-known clubs like Drugstore, 20/44 and various other spots as well. Confirmed acts include Nina Kraviz, Dax J and I Hate Models. Promoters told Pollstar that the final lineup will feature over 100 artists, renowned globally and locally, and that they expected some 20,000 visitors at the inaugural edition.
No Sleep Festival marks the sixth member of the Exit Festival family.
Exit Festival co-founders Ivan Milivojev, Dusan Kovacevic and their team also promote Festival 48 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sea Star in Croatia, Revolution in Romania and Sea Dance in Montenegro: Five festivals in five countries, taking place between March and September and located close enough to each other to plan one’s entire summer around them – combi-tickets for what is officially called “Exit Freedom” are available.
No Sleep Festival isn’t likely to be included in that offering, given its November date.
The main event, Exit Festival, just concluded its most successful edition to date, attracting 200,000 visitors in total to the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, Serbia, July 12-15.
The lineup included Migos, David Guetta, Grace Jones, LP, Alice Merton, Fever Ray, Ziggy Marley, Martin Garrix, French Montana, Jax Jones, Ofenbach, ZHU, and more, ensuring the reigning Best Major Festival in Europe‘s daily attendance record of 55,000 people.
