United Talent Agency is now handling booking for Franco Escamilla and will work with the comedian “in all areas worldwide” including touring, film, TV and branding.
An announcement from UTA touts Escamilla as the leading Spanish-speaking comedian. He’s also a radio personality, a musician and hosts his own show on Estrella TV.
The “Master of Sarcasm” shares humor weekly on his “La Mesa Reñoña” YouTube show, along with the comedian group he founded, La Diablo Squad. Escamilla’s achievements over the years include being the first stand-up comedian to perform at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City in 2016 – two sold-out shows that moved 18,112 tickets and grossed $563,457 (11.6 million pesos).
His hour-long Netflix special, “Por La Anécdota,” which was taped at Arena Ciudad De Mexico in Mexico City, is available now. As for his career as a musician, Escamilla released a solo album, Fe, last year and has played a number of festivals such as Pal Norte in Monterrey, Mexico.
The next chance to catch Escamilla on stage is at the Ror Comedy Club in Osaka, Japan, Aug. 4. After a run of gigs in Japan, he has dates booked in China, Mexico and the U.S., including shows at San Francisco’s Warfield, Chicago’s Rosemont Theater and New York’s PlayStation Theater. The “RPM” show will also stop in Australia, Israel and Dubai.
Recent reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice include Escamilla’s eight-show run at the Auditorio Pabellón M in Monterrey, Mexico, in April, which sold 17,071 tickets and grossed $659,692 (12 million pesos).
He is managed by Bryan Andrade of ESCAN Management.
