Lady Gaga Unveils Vegas Residency Into 2019
Darron Cummings/AP – Lady Gaga
Performs during the halftime show of the NFL Super Bowl 51 football game in Houston.
She lives for the applause! Lady Gaga is gonna be back in 2018 and 2019, with Sin City residency dates scattered throughout the year, starting Dec. 28 at Park Theater At Park MGM.
Following the first shows at the end of December are dates in January, February, May, June, October and November.
There are two different shows being performed for the residency. Most of them will be the “Lady Gaga Enigma” show, which is described as an odyssey of her pop hits built as an experience unlike any other. Her Super Bowl performance several years ago may be an indicator for what an artistic journey through her career might look like.
Lady Gaga will also be performing “Lady Gaga Jazz & Piano,” which will be classics from the Great American Songbook and stripped-down versions of her hits.
There are a ton of presales for this tour. The first one is for Lady Gaga’s fan club, the Little Monsters, who get a presale Aug. 8. Citi cardholders get a presale Aug. 9. M Life Rewards loyalty members, Live Nation and Ticketmaster get a presale Aug. 11. The general onsale begins Aug. 13. All of those begin on their respective dates at 10 a.m. PST.
Fans will be delighted to hear that Gaga feels well enough to perform, as she had to cancel 10 European dates in her Joanne World Tour due to “severe pain.” That tour was doing big business, as she reported two sold-out shows in Birmingham, England’s Arena Birmingham Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, grossing $1.8 million. She also earned $1 million in Hamburg, Germany; $1.4 million in Merksem, Belgium; and $1.4 million in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
