Faculty Management Ups Janelle Lopez To GM

Jared Paul’s Faculty Management elevated Janelle Lopez to the rank of general manager Aug. 27.

Lopez has been with Faculty since its formation in 2015, coming over with Paul from AGP Management.

“It has been an honor to work with Jared and the entire Faculty staff,” Lopez said in a statement. “The team has always encouraged and empowered me to excel at the highest level for our clients. I’m extremely excited for the future ahead.”

Paul’s company represents New Kids On The Block, Sabrina Carpenter, and has produced “TV Tours” like Glee, Dancing With The Stars, and American Idol and dancers Julianne and Derek Hough. Lopez has worked with Fifth Harmony and, more recently, Riah and Mosaic MSC.

Mosaic MSC was on the Outcry Tour with Vertical Worship and Elevation Worship this spring. That show grossed $115,769 in Fresno, Calif., off 3,960 tickets April 7. A high point on that tour was in Greenville, S.C., April 22, with a gross of $178,521 with 6,194 tickets.

In a previous interview with Pollstar Paul said he prides himself on being able to blend skills in artist management and tour production.

“I’ve always maintained two sides of my life professionally, and I love them both dearly,” Paul said. “I love being a manager. I’m a very hands-on, creative manager with my team. I try not to take on too many clients and I really try to pour myself into the ones we have. And then, at the same time, I’ve got a whole staff that works alongside me producing these tours, which we’re having a lot of fun with.”
