AEG Facilities And SSE Hydro Renew Strategic Partnership In Scotland

AEG Facilities will continue to provide its venue support services
AEG’s facilities division has extended its strategic partnership agreement with The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.
Under the renewed partnership, AEG Facilities will continue to augment venue support services for The SSE Hydro including event booking, venue operations, premium seating initiatives and sponsorship sales and marketing.

With a seating capacity of 12,000, The SSE Hydro hosts more than 130 events and welcomes over a million visitors annually.
The venue opened its doors five years ago, on Sept. 30, 2013. Since then, it has hosted international superstars including Rod Stewart, Ed Sheeran, U2, The Who, Paul McCartney, Celine Dion, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift as well as the C2C Country Music Festival.
AEG Facilities led the creation of the 10-year venue naming rights agreement with SSE, which was announced in 2011 during the venue’s construction, and additionally added sponsorship agreements with other partners including Heineken, Clydesdale Bank, Raymond Weil, IRN-BRU and Capital FM.
