Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum Among Cheyenne Frontier Days Performers
Cheyenne Frontier Days announced Thursday the bulk of the music programming for the 123rd annual installment of the major rodeo festival.
Performers at the event, scheduled to be held from July 19-28 in the Wyoming capital, include Tim McGraw, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum and Kelsea Ballerini. Other booked artists include Rascal Flatts, Midland, Devin Dawson, Josh Turner, Clint Black and Tanya Turner, with more announcements to come in the weeks and months ahead.
“We are very excited about the performer lineup for 2019,” Contract Acts Chairman Randy Krafft said. “We are still working on our remaining shows and will announce them as we get them signed.”
The long-running event historically books some of country’s biggest names. In 2018, performers included Florida Georgia Line, Eric Church, Dierks Bentley, Cole Swindell and Charlie Daniels.
And it’s a testament to Cheyenne Frontier Days’ cultural significant that the event’s music programming isn’t even its highlight. That would be the festival’s rodeo competition, known as the “Daddy of ’em All,” which crowns a victor on “Championship Sunday.”
The festival includes several other traditional events, from pancake breakfasts to a carnival.
Concert tickets range from $39 to $81 — considerably more than Cheyenne Frontier Days’ rodeo tickets, which range from $20 to $35 — although fans who purchase before July 1 can receive a $5 discount. Tickets go on sale Dec. 15 at 9 a.m. MT.
