Europe Lineup Roundup: Cardi B Confirmed For UK & German Wireless Festival

Pollstar takes a look at some recently announced lineups across the U.K. and Europe, where Wireless Germany just confirmed Cardi B will join Travis Scott, Rita Ora and Migos at the 2019 edition, which takes place at Alter Rebstockpark in Frankfurt, Germany, July 5-6.
Also performing at Wireless Germany 2019: G-Eazy, Rich the Kid, Ski Mask The Slump God, Rae Sremmurd, James Blake, YBN Cordae and more.  The current who’s who of Germany’s rap scene is represented as well: Marteria & Casper, Bonez MC & RAF Camora, Bausa, Ufo361 and KC Rebell are also confirmed.
It made sense for Live Nation to also book many of the U.S. heavyweights for the UK edition of Wireless Festival, which takes place over the same weekend in London’s Finsbury Park, but includes the Sunday, July 7. Headliner on that day is A$AP Rocky. Travis Scott, who headlines on Saturday, is joined by special guest Future, while Cardi B and Migos are listed as co-headliners on the Friday.
Another famous UK event, albeit one that’s dedicated to up-and-coming talent, also just announced the next wave of its lineup. Liverpool Sound City welcomes Shame, Blaenavon, Confidence Man, The Tea Street Band, King No-One, Kara Marni, Clean Cut Kid, Soak, Stella Donnelly, The Jungle Giants, Estrons, Benny Mails and hundreds more to its 12th edition, May 3-5 – in addition to the already confirmed Loyle Carner and Mabel
Two of Broadwick Live’s events also just announced their lineup: Field Day, which takes place at a new location, June 7-8, has confirmed Jorja Smith, Skepta, Diplo, Bonobo (DJ Set), Jungle, Earl Sweatshirt, Tiga, Seth Troxler, Pusha-T and many more.
Lost Village, which takes place in Lincolnshire, England, Aug. 22-25, welcomes Maribou State, Bicep, Little Dragon, Modeselektor, Omar S, Todd Terje, Norman Jay and Peggy Gou, who are joining an already eclectic bill.
Black Deer Festival, which premiered last year and immediately won an Independent Festival Award in the UK in the category New Festival On The Block, confirmed the first acts for its second edition at Eridge Park in Kent, UK, June 21-23: Band Of Horses are set to headline one night, with support from Jade Bird, The Wandering Hearts, Larkin Poe, The Dead South and Hayseed Dixie.
AEG’s British Summer Time Hyde Park announced that Celine Dion will grace the stage in London on Friday, July 5, for her only European date in 2019. She said: “It’s my first time doing a show in beautiful Hyde Park…. I’m so excited.  I love London, and it’s a great honour for me to be part of the Barclaycard presents BST Hyde Park concerts. I can’t wait…. summertime in London, here we come!”

She joins the already confirmed Florence + the Machine (July 13), Robbie Williams (July 14) as well as Neil Young and Bob Dylan, who co-headline on July 12 after settling an issue that Young had with BST’s main sponsor Barclaycard.
Major headliners will perform at Belgium’s major festival Rock Werchter, June 27-30. The list of confirmed artists includes Pink, Tool, Mumford & Sons, Muse, Bastille, The Cure, Florence + The Machine, New Order, Elbow, Bring Me The Horizon, Macklemore and many more.
The boutique OFF Festival, which takes place in Katowice, Poland, Aug. 2-4 has confirmed Daughters, The Gaslamp Killer, Perfect Son, Lebanon Hanover, Boogarins, The Comet is Coming, Bamba Pana & Makaveli.
Down The Rabbit Hole announced that Editors, Underworld, Thom Yorke, Foals, Robyn, Skepta, The Roots, Vampire Weekend, Aurora, Beirut and many more would join the party in Beuningen, Holland.
Exit, the Serbian festival that takes place in a 17th century fortress, July 4-7, has confirmed The Cure, Carl Cox, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Greta Van Fleet, Sofi Tukker and more. Coming from the same team as Exit is Sea Star Festival in Croatia, May 24-15. Sven Vath, Nina Kraviz and Ilario Alicante are set to perform, many more will be announced in the coming weeks.
The sun never sets during Secret Solstice in Iceland. The 2019 edition is scheduled for June 21-24, and visitors can look forward to a lineup that includes Martin Garrix, Rita Ora, Morcheeba, Pussy Riot, Boy Pablo and Nitin.
