Nick Spampanato Named SVP Of Venue Operations At AEG Presents

Nick Spampanato is the new Senior Vice President for Venue Operations at AEG Presents, where he will oversee the operations of all AEG Presents venues and their general managers.

Prior to this position he was working as the senior vice president and general manager of the Forum in Inglewood, Calif.

In his new position, Spampanato will report directly to Shawn Trell, COO for AEG Presents.

“I am excited about this next chapter in my career and working with Shawn and the rest of the AEG team,” Spampanato said in a statement. “AEG has an impressive portfolio of venues that continues to grow. I look forward to working with the General Managers at AEG Presents to provide the best experiences for all of our guests and clients.”

Spampanato has also worked as the GM for Beacon Theatre in New York, Hollywood Palladium and The Wiltern in Los Angeles, and managed backstage operations at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Ca.

“We are extremely pleased to have Nick join our growing team. His experience and track record of running and managing venues as well as event production speaks for itself and we look forward to having Nick bring his skill set to bear on our owned and operated clubs and theaters,” Trell said in a statement.

This move comes on the heels of a bombshell announcement from AEG Facilities and SMG that the two would be combining forces to create a new powerhouse venue management company, ASM Global.

The combined company portfolios would include 310 venues on five continents, but the deal is still subject to regulatory approval and expected to be finalized later in the year.

The Forum is affiliated with the Azoff Company, led by Pollstar parent company Oak View Group co-founder Irving Azoff.
