Raconteurs, Hozier, Brandi Carlile And More Top Inaugural Railbird Lineup
The Raconteurs, Hozier, Brandi Carlile and Tyler Childers head the lineup for the inaugural Railbird Festival. The AC Entertainment event arrives at The Grounds at Keeneland, Ky., Aug. 10-11.
The booking of the Jack White-led Raconteurs seems like a coup for AC Entertainment. The band is performing April 6 at its label home, Third Man Records, in Nashville and has only one other date in the U.S. – at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Md. – before its Railbird appearance. The rest of the spring and summer, the band is appearing in Oceania and Europe.
The Raconteurs last performed Stateside in 2011, and it’s been since 2008 when the band last mounted a full tour.
Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. local time March 28 via the Railbird Festival website. In addition to GA tickets, VIP packages and premium festival experiences are available.
Additional artists Gary Clark Jr., Old Crow Medicine Show, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, Lucinda Williams, Mavis Staples, Robert Earl Keen, I’m With Her, Mandolin Orange, Jade Bird, Grace VanderWaal, Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors and many more.

Those wishing to experience Railbird in style can purchase a three-day VIP weekend pass to access all GA amenities, as well as exclusive Limestone and Elkhorn Stage lounges with air conditioning, private bars with exclusive VIP pricing, and plenty of shade. VIPs can also access a portion of the Grandstand padded seating at the Limestone Stage. They’ll also be able to attend an opening reception on Aug. 9, before the festival begins, as well as “happy hour” receptions during the festival.
A very limited number of “Superfecta” weekend passes will include all the VIP perks, plus private pit seating and bar area, in addition to valet parking and a merch package. For horse racing fans – the festival is located adjacent to the Keeneland track – there will also be opportunities to watch the ponies work out. The package also includes bourbon tastings and full dinner and brunch events.
It wouldn’t be Kentucky without bourbon and thoroughbreds, after all, and Railbird offers plenty of both. The Lucky Day Plaza is the spot for off-track betting with horse racing telecasts from Del Mar to Saratoga and The Rickhouse will be home to all things bourbon, including “immersive whiskey experiences.”
