Sara Bareilles Announces Fall Tour
Tony Avelar – Sara Bareilles
During Apple’s “show time” event at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, Calif., Sara Bareilles performs the theme song for one of Apple’s new upcoming series Little Voice on March 25.
Sara Bareilles unveiled the routing for an extensive fall tour Monday that will take the acclaimed singer to arenas, amphitheaters and theaters across the U.S. The “Amidst the Chaos” tour begins Oct. 5 at the Fox Theatre in Detroit and concludes Nov. 26 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta.
The “Amidst the Chaos” tour begins Oct. 5 at the Fox Theatre Detroit and concludes Nov. 26 at the Fox Theatre Atlanta. Along the way, will hit major venues from Manhattan’s Madison Square Garden (Oct. 13) to Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl (Nov. 2).
The tour follows Bareilles’ brief string of March club dates, which hit venues including San Francisco’s Lincoln Hall, Manhattan’s Bowery Ballroom and Chicago’s Lincoln Hall, where Bareilles sold 510 tickets and grossed $25,550.
The singer, who appeared as musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” over the weekend, released her sixth album, Amidst the Chaos, last Friday.
Bareilles has toured minimally in recent years, instead focusing on her Tony-nominated adaptation of “Waitress.” Bareilles penned the show’s music, starred in its lead role in select Broadway dates and released a studio album, 2015’s What’s Inside: Songs from Waitress, featuring renditions of the show’s music. “Waitress” garnered a Tony nomination for Best Original Score and a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album.
For her contributions to NBC’s 2018 special “Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert” as Mary Magdalene, Bareilles garnered Tony, Emmy and Grammy nominations. In 2018, she hosted the 72nd Tony Awards with Josh Groban.
Bareilles’ last major tour, in 2014, was a smash, including sellouts at the Chicago Theatre (July 10, $158,887 grossed) and Los Angeles’ Greek Theater (Aug. 11, $274,735). She also sold out two shows, on July 19 and 20, at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden, moving 10,260 tickets and grossing $511,105.
Tickets for the “Amidst the Chaos” tour go on sale to the public on April 12. Find the complete list of dates below.
