Thom Yorke performs with Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes last December. He’ll hit the road again this fall.
Thom Yorke announced a North American tour for his Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes project on Monday.
The tour begins Sept. 26 at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec and concludes Oct. 29 at Los Angeles’ Greek Theater.
Along the way, Yorke and Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes companions Nigel Godrich – the producer behind all of Radiohead’s recordings since 1997’s OK Computer – and Tarik Barri will hit several other major markets including Toronto (Scotiabank Arena, Sept. 27), New Orleans (Mahalia Jackson Theatre for the Performing Arts; Oct. 9) and Seattle (Paramount Theatre, Oct. 20).
According to a press release, the performances will feature music from Yorke’s two solo albums, 2006’s The Eraser and 2014’s Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes; his album with Atoms For Peace, 2013’s Amok; and “new and unreleased material.” Yorke’s most recent release was his 2018 soundtrack for the film “Suspiria.”
The tour announcement follows previously announced European and Asian shows slated for July, as well as Yorke’s two gigs at Austin City Limits festival on Oct. 4 and 11.
Yorke embarked on a similar Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes tour late last year. The most lucrative date of the tour for which Pollstar has data was his Dec. 15 performance at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, which sold 7,220 tickets and grossed $442,430.
The famed rocker also had another successful year with Radiohead, which grossed $28.4 million and secured a No. 61 ranking on Pollstar‘s Year End Top 100 Worldwide Tours chart.
Tickets for Yorke’s new dates go on sale on June 21. Find his itinerary below.
