Jack White Celebrates Birthday With Intimate Third Man Detroit Gig
Jack White and Brendan Benson played a show at White’s own Third Man Records in Detroit on White’s 44th birthday July 9.
Prior to the launch of the Raconteurs’ tour on July 12, the two artists put on a 45-minute set, 12 song set drawing from each’s solo catalogue and raconteurs tunes.
During the performance, the crowd sang happy birthday to White. The event was captured by Scott Legato of Rockstar Pro Photography. Prior to that most of the group’s touring history is from 2008, when it was regularly able to gross in the $100,000 range.
The Raconteurs reported a headline gig in New Zealand this year that sold 977 tickets and grossed $56,620.
