C3 Presents’ Charles Attal, Charlie Jones and Charlie Walker To Speak At Pollstar Live!

C3 Presents co-founders Charles Attal, Charlie Jones and Charlie Walker are confirmed to take part in a Q&A at Pollstar Live! in February. Ray Waddell, president of Oak View Group Media & Conferences, will moderate the discussion dubbed “The Rule Of Three: How C3’s Three Cs Changed The Way We Present Live Music.”
The world’s largest gathering of live entertainment professionals and the flagship event for Pollstar magazine is scheduled Feb. 4-6. After relocating from downtown Los Angeles to the Beverly Hilton in 2019, Pollstar Live! will return to the historic luxury hotel.
With the company’s in-house creative, marketing, sponsorship and production teams, C3 produces some of the most acclaimed festivals in the world including Lollapalooza (with multiple editions in the U.S., South America and Europe), Austin City Limits Music Festival, Voodoo Music + Arts Experience, and Shaky Knees Music Festival.
The company promotes more than 1,700 concerts annually in arenas, festivals, theaters, casinos and clubs across the country, as well as programming more than 1,200 events annually for its casino clients. C3 also produces large-scale events worldwide such as the “Obama for America Election Night Celebration” in 2008 and 2012.
C3 Management represents artists across a range of genres including Modest Mouse, Rebelution, Jon Pardi,  Phoenix, The Strokes, The Head And The Heart, The Revivalists, Gramatic, In This Moment, My Bloody Valentine, and Lindsey Buckingham.
The company also offers corporate and private bookings, as well as marketing via C3 Experience Marketing. C3 is headquartered in Austin, Texas, with offices in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, New Orleans, Denver, Boston, and London.

Jones and Attal founded Austin City Limits Music Festival in 2002, inspired by the KLRU/PBS music series of the same name, and helped relaunch Lollapalooza in Chicago in 2005, according to the New York Times. They teamed with Walker to found C3 Presents in 2007 and in 2014 the Charlies sold a controlling stake in the company to Live Nation.
C3 Presents ranked No. 21 on Pollstar’s 2018 Year End Top 100 Promoters chart, based on Worldwide Ticket Sales with 959,799 tickets. As for this year, the company is at No. 29 on the third quarter Top 100 Promoters chart, with 519,353 tickets sold and a gross of $23,316,445.
News of the Charlies appearing at Pollstar Live! Follows last week’s announcement that former Creed frontman Scott Stapp will speak at Pollstar Live! in a candid discussion, entitled “Scott Stapp: Back In The Game,” with Ray Waddell, president of Oak View Group Media & Conferences.
The 2019 conference was attended by more than 2,000 music industry stakeholders, surpassing 2018’s record-setting year, which marked the first under Pollstar’s parent company, Oak View Group.
The annual conference features a variety of panels, keynotes and networking opportunities with the live music industry’s most influential and visionary promoters, producers, agents, managers, entrepreneurs and venue operators, as well as leaders in other sectors aligned with and impacting the touring business.
Visit Pollstar.live for more information about the conference. Registration is now open.
