AEG Presents Promotes Debra Rathwell To EVP, Global Touring And Talent
After 17 years with AEG, Debra Rathwell has been elevated to the position of Executive Vice President of Global Touring and Talent. She was previously Senior Vice President of the same department and will remain in New York.
“Debra continues to bring a wealth of knowledge, expertise and deep relationships to our company as a whole, and our department specifically,” Gary Gersh, President of Global Touring and Talent for AEG Presents, said in a statement. “She has a fantastic vision for the global landscape and an unmatched commitment to her artists. She’s an integral part of our team, and I’m thrilled to announce this much-deserved promotion.”
Rathwell has been with AEG since 2002, joining as a Senior Vice President. When the Global Touring and Talent department was formed in 2018, she was made SVP straight away. Prior to her time with AEG she worked with Canadian promoter Donald K. Donald and New York’s Metropolitan Entertainment.
“I’ve been so privileged to be a part of the ongoing growth and success of AEG’s concert business since I arrived here in 2002,” Rathwell said in a statement. “It’s continually inspiring to come to work every day surrounded by such talented artists and co-workers, and I’m looking forward to what’s to come.”
Rathwell has plenty of Pollstar Live! hardware, as she has won multiple Bill Graham Promoter Of The Year Awards and was earlier this year named to Pollstar’s inaugural Impact 50 list. Her clientele has included Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood and Lorde, and she is currently working on the “Elton John: Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour.”
Rathwell was also interviewed by Steiny and Luke for Promoter 101’s final live podcast at this year’s IEBA.
