Kacie Lehman has had a front-row seat to some of the most impactful branding and marketing efforts in live music, from Billy Joel’s Madison Square Garden residency with partner Citi, to Imagine Dragons performing an intimate set for fans on a flight with Southwest Airlines – what she considers among the biggest accomplishments in her young career.
“It was a turnkey program that broke a lot of ‘firsts’ for the brand, band, and fans,” Lehman says. At the program’s core, we had a stadium act returning to perform in club-sized rooms, harkening back to where they started. … Imagine Dragons also did a three-song set for super fans during the flight between the last two shows. We worked with great partners on this program, and we put a LOT of heart into it – that’s what made it an award-winning campaign.”
She sees more proprietary music series in the future, led by venues and brands, such as ATLive in Atlanta. MAC Presents and Messina Touring Group joined forces to book and produce the two-day event that drew 90,000 to Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
“Live event experiences are diversifying, allowing more brands to participate in ways that are authentic to their business,” Lehman says.
