Time is a central factor in Brittany Flores’ work life, and therefore is a big part of her advice for younger generations trying to find success in the industry: “For the young guns, get ready to put in the time. 9-5 doesn’t apply to our sector. Your success in this business is a direct result of the effort and passion you put in. It’s definitely not a desk job! When you’re not in the office, I’d advise attending as many shows as possible.”

She also mentions time management as one of the biggest challenges of her job. “You can’t do it all on your own. It’s important to have a solid team working toward the same goals.” 

Flores – who programs, promotes, oversees and grows the Jacksonville/South Florida business unit for Live Nation – joined the company in 2012 starting as an intern. “This company has given me a level of support and resources to grow, of which is rare in any business.” 

She shouts out manager Steve Masi of GRNDVW for being the one “to blame for getting me into this career” as well as Live Nation’s Neil Jacobsen for always being her “biggest supporter.” Flores adds, “[Masi] has always told me, ‘This isn’t for everyone, in fact it isn’t for most people. If it was easy everyone would do it. Work hard, observe everything and good things will happen.’”
