The 11-day Festival d’été de Québec extravaganza will be back this summer with a lineup boasting Rage Against The Machine, Halsey, Rod Stewart, Marshmello, G-Eazy, Alanis Morissette, Jack Johnson, Imagine Dragons, Les Trois Accords and more.
The festival takes place July 9-19 at nearly a dozen venues throughout Quebec City’s historic district with a mix of rock, folk, hip hop, EDM, jazz, world music and more.
Passes are on sale now, starting at $110.
Pollstar was on site last year to see great shows and speak with program director Louis Bellavance about the 2019 festival and business in general.

“You have to love music, of course, but it’s so not enough,” Bellavance commented about what it takes to book bands for a festival of Festival d’été’s caliber.
“I think our industry is still packed with a mix of business men and music lovers, and failed musicians, like I am. I think the reason my I’ve been booking festivals for 20 years and my phone always kept ringing is because I’m a businessman, who happens to know a lot about music.”
Each year, FEQ sells more than 120,000 11-day passes, plus around 7,000 VIP tickets offering better views from various areas on site. The number of concerts grew from 250 to 300 over the past two years.
