Travis McCready livestream perfromance

TempleLive, the Fort Smith, Arkansas venue where tonight Travis McCready is playing what is being billed as the “First Fan Attended Concert In The World Since the COVID 19 Virus Shutdowns,’ announced it will be livestreaming the performance via Goldstar at 8:00 p.m CST (9:00 ET/6:00 PT).  Tickets to the livestream concert, which features McCready and opener Lauren Brown, cost $12 and can be purchased HERE.

McCready formerly fronted the Southern rockers Bishop Gunn straight out of Natchez, Mississippi and opened for The Rolling Stones, Guns N’ Roses, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Gregg Allman and Kid Rock among others.

Opening the show is Brown, a Tulsa native who has opened for artists such as Grammy award winner Halestorm and Jay Leno and  played alongside country singer Cody Jinks.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 19 at 3:00 ET/12:00 PT,  McCready and Mike Brown of TempleLive, the show’s promoter will appear on Pollstar Live’s Digital Session via Facebook live (www.facebook.com/pollstar).

Both McCready and TempleLive’s Brown, for the last several weeks, have been at the eye of a global media storm as they tangled with state authorities over their comeback performance. The ticketed show, which saw the 1,100-capacity venue cut down to 229, was originally slated for May 15, until the state of Arkansas issued a cease and desist order and ripped down the venue’s licenses, which resulted in the show being moved to May 18. This because the state had slated its openings for three days later despite giving indications shows would return earlier.

Brown has gone above and beyond the State guidelines for other public gatherings with capital outlays for disinfectant, fog sprayers, touchless thermometers, masks, pre-packaged drinks and a full staff for a show limited to a fifth of the venue’s 1,100 capacity. He also traced the geographical locations of ticket buyers and shared that information with the state’s Department of Health — practices that may become standard going forward.
