#iVoted announced several artists Monday who will participate in its Election Night webcast this November.

Music industry voting advocacy group #iVoted announced its first slate of performers Monday for the nationwide webcast it will stage on Election Night this November.

Lineup highlights for the event include Drive-By Truckers, Jukebox The Ghost, The Polyphonic Spree, Joywave, Disq, Mikaela Davis, BRETT NEWSKI, gobbinjr, My Brightest Diamond and grandson.

Fans can RSVP for the #iVoted shows by taking a selfie at home with themselves and their mail-in ballot or outside of their polling place; underage fans can RSVP by sharing videos detailing when they’ll be able to vote and why they’re excited about the opportunity.

In May, #iVoted announced a partnership with Chartmetric to help with a data-driven strategy this fall, and shared plans for its November webcast.

“We test drove a variety of platforms, but realized that Chartmetric had exactly what we needed to excite and engage with music fans for this fall’s election,” #iVoted founder Emily White said at the time.

The slate of artists #iVoted unveiled Monday was determined based on the top streamed acts in swing states Wisconsin and Michigan, as calculated by Chartmetric. Artist bookings based on streaming data from other states will follow in the coming weeks.

In early March, just before the coronavirus pandemic exploded in America, #iVoted announced it had added Walk the Moon’s Kevin Ray and APA’s Steve Ferguson to a 2020 board that already included MIT economist Jon Gruber, attorney Joyce Dollinger, Lyte’s Lawrence Peryer, analytics expert Talia Borodin and 46 for 46 founder Kyle Frenette. ImagineMKE’s Kennita Hickman and WNYC’s Rebecca Kennedy were also recently added to #iVoted’s board.

“It’s inspiring to see so many in music coalesce around the concept and I’m looking forward to seeing what #iVoted can accomplish on November 3rd and beyond,” White said upon that news.
