Living Colour, Citizen Cope, Dresden Dolls Highlight Massive New Round Of #iVoted Election Night Webcast Artists

#iVoted announced several artists Monday who will participate in its Election Night webcast this November.

Music industry voting advocacy group #iVoted added nearly 70 performers Monday to the lineup for the nationwide webcast it will present on Election Night this November.

Highlights from the sprawling list include appearances by Living Colour, Citizen Cope, The Dresden Dolls and Vacationer, and dozens of other newly added artists can be founded via #iVoted’s website.

The slate announced Monday continues #iVoted’s initiative, executed in tandem with Chartmetric, to book acts based on the top-streamed artists in swing states, and consists of popular artists in Pennsylvania and Florida. In June, the organization announced a first wave of acts based on data from Wisconsin and Michigan, with Drive-By Truckers, Jukebox the Ghose, The Polyphonic Spree and several others leading another robust slate.

“We test drove a variety of platforms, but realized that Chartmetric had exactly what we needed to excite and engage with music fans for this fall’s election,” #iVoted founder Emily White said at the time.

#iVoted will continue to announce new artists in the coming weeks.

In early March, just before the coronavirus pandemic exploded in America, #iVoted announced it had added Walk the Moon’s Kevin Ray and APA’s Steve Ferguson to a 2020 board that already included MIT economist Jon Gruber, attorney Joyce Dollinger, Lyte’s Lawrence Peryer, analytics expert Talia Borodin and 46 for 46 founder Kyle Frenette. ImagineMKE’s Kennita Hickman and WNYC’s Rebecca Kennedy were also recently added to #iVoted’s board.
