Chicago Live Industry Vets Launch Auris Presents

Karounos – who over the years has owned/operated numerous venues and properties including RADIUS,  Concord Music Hall, PRYSM,  The Mid, and Spring Awakening Music Festival – will helm the new company.

“I’m excited to bring this strong Chicago based team together, along with Stuart and the Loud Crowd team, who will continue to produce events throughout the country. They bring incomparable energy and experience to Auris Presents’ Midwest focus,” Karounos said in a statement. “The formation of Auris Presents and bringing this team together was essential for our venues to survive, especially RADIUS which opened just two weeks prior to the pandemic.

“The survival of independent promoters and venues is important to ensure one company isn’t able to monopolize the industry, causing less options for the artists and fans, inflated service fees, and complacency with the fan experience.” 

Hackley comes from Loud Crowd, Curley comes from Paradigm Presents and Quade from BAM Creates. The team also includes operating partners Carson Rhoads, Dom Brown and Mike Lang, along with marketing and design experts Garrett Birch and Joe Calderone. 

Auris Presents will be a member of NIVA and the Chicago Independent Venue League and will host multi-genre events at venues owned by its leadership and will partner with other venues and promoters.
