Producer Jose ‘Pepe’ Quintana Dies
Producer Jose ‘Pepe’ Quintana – who over the years worked with Maná, Luis Miguel, Herb Alpert, José José and others – died yesterday, Nov. 18 after spending years recovering from a stroke, a source has told Pollstar.
“Just Lost another dear friend yesterday, Jose Quintana,” Ben Faccone wrote on Facebook. “He was a kind, and generous soul who loved to make people laugh with his jokes. Latin music would not be what it is today if it wasn’t for him.
“He gave us many days of joy, laughter, and great music. R.I.P. ‘Let’s Put It Down Man’”
Quintana was formerly A&M Latin division director and president of Quinta Notas Productions.
He is survived by his wife Diane and daughter Heather.
