Amy Corbin
Promoter, C3 Presents
C3’s Amy Corbin is the first to admit she had to tack hard to get through 2020’s gauntlet. “Learning to adapt to the unprecedented challenges that arose each day was certainly an accomplishment for me and my team,” she says. “To not have the creative environment of our collaborative offices was challenging and adapting to life on Zoom was certainly a hurdle we had to master.”
Despite limitations, Corbin, a leader in the live industry for more than twenty-years, still managed to help her local community. “Working with Travis County officials to successfully make Emo’s Austin a voting location so that we could offer the community a familiar and centrally located voting center was a highlight” she says, also noting C3 offered up their venues for vaccine distribution. Corbin is similarly proud of C3’s equity, diversity and inclusivity efforts. “We are building the next generation of industry leaders which will be both more diverse and more inclusive than ever.”
Corbin says the support of Live Nation, which acquired a controlling interest in C3 in late 2014, was instrumental. “We are fortunate to have strong leadership to lean on and lean in with us,” she says. “With our a strong team at C3 along with Michael Rapino and the incredible team at Live Nation, we’ve held each other up and worked together to innovate, find solutions and stay strong as a unit throughout the past year.”
In addition to “Lolla2020, C3’s global Lollapalooza festival brand which went online in late-July, C3 fests are coming back. This includes Lolla Stockholm slated for July with Kendrick Lamar, Pearl Jam, Anderson .Paak, Kacey Musgraves and Post Malone among others. No word yet on 2021 dates for the flagship Chicago event, but perhaps Corbin’s enthusiasm for the show she most wants to see bodes well for C3’s October fest: “Austin City Limits Music Festival!!”
