UTA has signed hip-hop artist Spaceman Zack, represented by agents Steve Gordon and Jake Bernstein.
“Jake and I are excited to work with Spaceman Zack and feel that his genre-blending style of combining metal, punk, and hip-hop is the future of the alternative scene,” says UTA co-head of electronic music Steve Gordon.
Spaceman Zack’s 2019 single “Crying Tonight” has racked up more than 2 million streams, followed by his “Coke In The Bathroom” single, which got more than 3 million Spotify streams after being shared via the YouTube collective TRASH.
His debut album, WICKED, dropped in 2020, leading to an official Twitch partnership in the summer, followed by more releases including sophomore LP, FUNFAIR, which dropped in the beginning of 2021.
Spaceman Zack has more than 245,000 monthly listeners, 22+ million total streams and 25,500 Spotify followers, according to manager Cameron Almasi of Inertia Artist Management, who tells Pollstar, “I’m ecstatic to have Zack join UTA with two agents I’m delighted to call my friends. I’ve seen what UTA’s been able to accomplish during COVID-19, and with the world slowly re-opening, I have no doubt they will be the team to elevate this next chapter of Zack’s career to a whole new level.”
Gordon is known for representing major electronic artists including Excision, Kaskade, Illenium and others, with he and partner Kevin Gimble selling their own Circle Talent Agency to UTA in 2018, becoming co-heads of electronic music.
Zack himself, who has been likened to artists including Lil Peep, Poorstacy, and Kenny Hoopla, adds “I’m very excited to sign with UTA and all of the opportunities we will have together! I can’t wait to start working with them!”
